For instance, Memosa could replace anti-depressants as this herb contains properties that could help anxiety, nervousness and headaches. In addition, several plants such as Coltsfoot , Mullein and Horehound function as expectorants by inducing cough to clear the lungs out. Some of these herbs actually work on repairing your system too. Turmeric for example, is known to act as a cancer preventing agent apart from acting as a herb to stop smoking. Garlic is also supposed to contain effects that counter attack addiction for nicotine by calming blood vessels and reversing the negative effects brought on by smoking.

A physician should be consulted before using any herbs to stop smoking. The correct usage of these would fulfill their primary function, to act as an herb to stop smoking rather than being a substitute to one addiction.
